Motor insurance is one of the business lines holding a highly relevant share in all markets, regardless their development stage. For decades it made a rather conservative market segment, especially in the younger market, arduously struggling to improve profitability. 

Yet, throughout the last decade, digital technologies have enabled new capabilities in the motor insurance field.  In addition, the changing mobility behavior of consumers, especially of the younger ones, as well as the increasing proliferation of hybrid or electric, more intelligent cars, are driving a profound change in this line of business. 

As such, while motor insurance has reached a point of significant transformation, while still needs to also serve a wide “traditional” segment of the market.
